How the dating pool estimate works
The tool starts from the US adult population of the sex you are seeking, then applies each filter you set: age range, minimum height, minimum income, and whether to count only unmarried people. Because height, income, and education correlate, it does not simply multiply the filters together. It applies a correlation adjustment, so the estimate is slightly larger than the naive product and closer to reality.
The result is a share of the population, a matching headcount, and a 1-in-X rarity. It is a statistical estimate of supply, not a count of real dating profiles or a prediction about your love life.
